Beer or Car

just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this, i got a mate who never goes out on the beer basically to save money to spend on his car! i dont think this is right, he likes going out as when he does come out once a year lol he loves and bangs on about going out again very soon when hes a bit tipsy shall we say!

i think this is a car taking over someones life!!

spending cash on your car is great i love it, but when its like an obsession its a bit...i dunno to far!!

Im lucky at the moment as i have a payout to spend on the car meaning i can blow my wages on boooooze!

especially that the 6nations is on at the moment. ive ended up on the town for near enough every Wales game. and i aint even Welsh lol!

I go out every other weekend on average but I don't drink (or smoke), but thats because I'm into my fitness and all that, gym, boxing, track sports etc, plus when you're running a 16v while going to University, you need all the money you can gather..

Funny this thread should come up it just hit me this month how much i spend on going out on the piss at least once a week to the same place same people i can save at least £100 easily.

coming from someone whoes just bought a new car.....and posting on a saxo forum where members disscuss ideas of modding there cars i think most people would say modding there car i know i would !

I actually am not a massive fan of drinking. Just can't really see the point of waisting money on booze to get drunk. Don't get me wrong I enjoy going out with my mates, but only once a month. My car/going to the gym comes first

I go out every Friday and Saturday EVERY weekend.......occasionally I miss a Saturday night.....attempted to stay in this saturday, cleaned my car....half arsed job and went to pub and got home at 3am

When I had the saxo I spent quite a bit of cash on it to modify it, but still managed to go out most weekends.

Since I got the Bee Em, ive spent 220 quid on new tyres, fiver on new headlight bulbs and 200 to get it detailed since it was in a dire state. Thats all im spending on it since it doesnt need anything else, and it looks mint as it is.

Which leaves me cash to fuel it and go out every weekend lol, to do exactly as bullit said, pull women and get drunk!
