Hey,

Does anyone here have their Saxo DE-LOCKED?? I was thinking about getting it done, but wanted 2 know a few things first;

- How much did it cost you?
- How you can get into the car without the remote for central locking?
- Whats involved in de-locking

Surely it cant be as simple as removing the lock, welding the plate in and a respray.. can it?

Any help, advice and info would be great thanks!

hiya mate, ive had mine de-locked, infact i have no locks on the car at all! smileys/smiley5.gif

anyway it cost me £180 which included spraying, but that was 2 years ago now so it maybe a little more expensive.when they remove the locks it doesnt stop you locking and unlocking the doors as you would normally,so you can still use your remote central locking fob or if you have an alarm use that.

it also stops any chav trying to do your locks over! im not entirely sure what the process is but basically its what you have said above! smileys/smiley4.gif

Just i heard there was like a small (i forgot the word) "thing" the put inside the door, behind the paint where the lock once was, so that you can stil get in if you lose your fob. Not sure if its a pressure point you hit 2 release the lock?

Hav you heard of that? ...does seem a little stupid like, as anyone could punch the door to open it, so i may be well out here! lol

are they not only needed when the doors have had the handles removed?

aaah yeah! that might be it, once the handles are removed. Im not sure, jus read it in Max Power a month ago or something and it stuck in my head.

See my drivers door was keyed a few months ago and im deciding whether 2 get it de-locked as its being resprayed anyway to cover the scratch.

Think i will tho.

they do sell the fob remotes that turn your alarm off, open your door and even start your engine for you, which would be well smart,

or you could even have the TVR style of opening your doors with a little button somewhere like under your mirror or something

and it is that simple you just take all handles etc (things in the way) off weld a plate over the hole remembering to the the side of the door too lol, put some filler over it rub it down and spray over it and Roberts your mothers brother as they say smileys/smiley17.gif

hey Dav,

I will call the guy and see wot he says, ask him 2 do the lot for 175, and if not ill b knockin on ur door! (or at least PMing' you about this place in boro!)

I went to him cos my saxo got key'd right along the drivers door, so he said £100 cash to do that, then wen i mentioned delocking he said 175

That idea about the buttons under thye mirrors! THATS wot i was talking about earlier in the thread about the extra "thing". Seems a bit umm, unsecure to say the least tho, if someone can jus press a button and pop goes ur open door! smileys/smiley5.gif

as in, the door must be unlocked and you simply use this butto to pop open the door because youve had your handles taken off?? ..well that makes more sense.
