Whether i could take the plate off of a 1.4 strut (were the anti roll bar is bolted on to)

And weld it to a 1.1 strut so i can then replace my bent one with this new one?

i wouldnt weld anything to a strutt

they are welded on as standard, if you did it properly it'd work. but TBH i can't see why you can't straighten out your current plate, just use a vice or similar.

or just get the whole strut from a breakers, there not that much tbh

Cant find a front drivers side strut anywere in or around bristol, the only one i could find was one off of a 1.1 saxo.

rang every single breakers/scrapyard i could find on google/yellow pages

got plenty of struts , would probably wheel a replacement wheel bearing fitted but straight
