best off checking your earths then mate. Make sure its touching metal and not paint.

isnt that more to do with the amp. The amp works fine as it powers teh 6x9s perfect with no problems. also just recently the 4 small wires that go to the cone i have had to resolder to would this cause a problem?

hmm how good was the soldering?? they may be touching and shorting out something??
have you tryed the sub on another amp like a friends of anything?
lukemc5853
3rd March 2008, 13:56

it could be the amp at fault, get it tested
or it could even be the sub itself, try it on another amp to see what it is, if the sub works on the other amp its your amp at fault and if the sub doesnt work then its the sub obviously

yeah seems like the sub is at fault mate, what where your amps settings for the sub, and did you play it at high volume, because if you did you have probablies blew the sub, its like an engine you have to break the speaker in before you can start to get them running at high volumes
lukemc5853

i kept my settings on my amp at the normal marker as this sounded good and as it sed normal it implys its a good setting for it. As for volume i kept it low for a few weeks as i got it a few weeks before xmas to breka it in i did everything as the shop sed.
