i have a headunit that im happy with yeh but i cud get new one if need be.
i havent brought anything yet no.
my sisters boyfriend will help me install it for me - bless him.

nah for your budget ill pick you out a sub, components and amp to pwoer the lot along with a decent wiring kit, could maybe get some sound deadening with the budget too

really? nice one - im really new to the whole ice thing so i may get bit confused when it comes to outputs - ohms etc etc - im not wanting a massive loud thing in boot but i just want a half decent system hun thats all - something that wil lsit tidy in the boot too.

also buy some loft insultaion to stuff the inside of the boot lid before applying the sound deadening and it will stop rattles much better

yeah JBL are top notch for the price, ive hada few of there amps and there really good, only reason i dont have one now is because they got nicked :(

yes but i didnt have an alarm and they were mainly after my clarion headunit, which cost a grand, you learn from your mistakes tbh

yeah they did but there is a seperate unit to power it all up called the hideaway/brain unit which was under the carpet, they just cut the wires and away they went not realising they needed that unit hidden away, bloody assholes im afraid

i did eventually get it all sorted but the screen i bought, the mechanism was buggered, it all worked as i rewired it, rang up clarion and it was going to cost too much to get the mechanism sorted so sold it for 350 and bought a pioneer :y:

tbh i dont really like motorised screens anymore its more of the risk of it getting nicked due to the part face off fascia, dont know why they make them like this, would be a lot better if they mad the screen go right in with a little trap door to hide it
