If you're going to be a witness then your friends solicitor should have explained the whole process to you. If they havent already they will do tomorrow

Well you will be asked your side of things and probably be questioned a bit. It wont be proper interrogation though cos its only a boundary issue

yep http://www.landregistry.gov.uk/ think you have to pay like £5 or something but it's a handy site, even shows you what people paid for their house i believe

When you buy the house in the deeds it will state where boundaries lay.. its when these bounderies become unclear that disputes will take place you will also get a map.. where the boundaries lay. But all original documents will be stored and these things are usually resolved in a reasonable amount of time

we have had this problem where i live. your council hold the boundaries of your property on a database andthe problem occurs because the boundaries can appear quite vague.
You will just be there basically to say that as far as you kno the boundaries have been broken.
I would expect an hour in total. I used to work at my local small claims court, they do alot of BS in between so be prepared lol.

thats the deeds as that has everything on the sheet about the land that is yours
