Cut the spring clip thing off and put a normal battery connector off if your having trouble. Saying that, ive never had a problem!

did you buy it from a garage or privetly????

if you bought it from a garage you can take the car back and he HAS! to fix it, its the law that all cars for sale must be able to make it back to the buyers household, if it doesnt you can take it back!

im not sure exactly where in the law it is but i no for a fact thats how it is! ring the police up they will tell u the same :y:

i had this problem aswel...this is what i did to over come it

Take the bolt out of the hole, find a washer then put it over/on the bolt then screw the bolt back in and when you get to the bit where you can no longer do it up what will happen if the washer is large enough the metal will bend in slightly which gives a better hold/grip onto the battery terminal then get dirty and wack some grease all over it ! job done !

Tighten it up, or buy a new one that fits properly, they're like a quid from motor factors.
