Does anyone know why my sub gives one big popping sound when I turn it off, doesn't sound healthy. It only does it when I turn the HU off!! It done it before with my other amp that was running my front door speaker, that was the reason I took the amp out. Now it's doing it with my fli active sub/amp!!!!
The only thing I can think it could be is that the remote lead is on the ariel/antenna amp lead. Does this mean it won't have the little capacitor that fades the power?? And if this is the problem, can you buy something to put on the remote lead to fade the power rather than just cutting it out dead.
Thanks

I think it's supposed to do that, mine does it. Just the sub and amp turning off I think.

Or would buying a power capacitor solve the problem?

I've had subs n amps in all my cars and i've never had it before!!! Doesn't sound good at all, sounds like it would be doing damage, and this is with gain turned down!!!

Hmmm I dunno then.
Thinking about it, it's not really a popping as such, more of a thud.
Pred will be the one to talk to about it.

alot of people get this problem in the car pc scene usually a delayed turn off sorts it, think youve hit the nail on the head with the aerial/remote issue.
