Sorry to start this again but i keep seeing the same thing said over and over again in this section.

People complaining that they've made modifications cosmetically and performance enhancing and then sit on here and MOAN about their premiums going up!!

Do these clowns not check with their insurance first before making these modifications? just worries as i can guarantee a fair few wont bother telling their insurance because of the fear of higher premiums!

IF YOU CANT AFFORD THE INSURANCE THEN DONT MOD!:y:

i think some people just dont bother for the sake of it
cosmetic mods barely cost any extra anyway so whats the excuse not to

i also agree its simple if you dont delcare then your insurance is invalid so you may as well wait a year or so for your premium to drop before modding too much but as berg said cosmetic mods hardly affect your premium its when you start altering the performance of the vehicle they really bump your premium up but i totally agree

better to be safe, just declare it- you never know what might happen, i have just declared my wilwoods to insurance and they lowered my premium lol apparently theyr good brakes :p

I know there is a lot of people on here who have not declared mods on there insurance.

Elephant.co.uk. Only charge is admin charge of £15 to change details on their system so happy with that really. been with them since i was 17 so they look after me :P

im 19 lol and i am with brentecre (i think thats how its spelt.) but i am paying £685 thirdparty fire and theft on my 1.4 furio as standard with 2years no claims and3 writeoffs (not my fault) then i asked them how much it would be on top due to me having 3 points, they said no extra charge them i started to list my mods and they said i can do what i want up to 100bhp with no extra charge to the price, manifolds,cams, bodykits u mane it lol its great

I don't get charged for any cosmetic mods, performance mods i do.
