Its almost one o'clock and i have just finished fitting new brake discs and pads to every wheel. first time i done anything on my car myself and i must say it was quite an achievement and it was hard at times but glad i done it myself. Not only did it save me 80quid but i learnt something new.
Now i wanna continue........gotta think wat im gonna do next.lol

Definatley recommend giving things a go when it comes to working on ya cars, even if your not sure, just get someone who can guide you in case you get stuck.

well done mate.

quite a simple job but stress full getting them metal clip things that hold the pads in are a right bitch

the first thing i changed on my saxo was gearbox......halfway through vts conversion now lol

Much cheaper, first thing I did myself was fix the driveshaft, everything went fine until the gearbox sump plug got cross threaded right at the end :wall: :fcuk: got towed to the carriage to get it tightened.

How easy/ difficultis it to do a 4-2-1 manifold myself?
do i need the car right up in the air rly?

did mine myself. had to take the radiator out to get the manifold on because of the lack of space.

did my own lwoering and rear brakes on saturday with a couple amtes and i know what u mean mate, it's good stuff to know you've learnt how to do it. Although a mate did have to do the springs mainly but i still learnt :y:

Hardest thing I have done was to change the Aircon Radiator on my Astra... pain in the arse that was... the dirtiest was the starter motor and head gasket on my FTO and the easiest was the Brakes and pads on the FTO.
