ive recently brought an alpine headunit off ebay, the model is CDM9825RB and when i first installed it, it worked fine, i took it out and then re-installed it again but then found out that the cd wont eject. i took the top off and realised that the CD is trying to eject just slightly above the actualy slit it should eject from. i was wondering if anybode knew how to solve this?

goodmorning damian 1987 iam electronics engineer.
look i know that some of that models had this kind of problem.i think it is not your falt or bad operation of you.tell me wen you are pressing the eject button do you hear any noise????
if yes then the cd maybe is stucked inside.
if no the the problem is dificult.
i will give you my advice.if you have still tha warantee you have to remove it from tha car and give it to the company for service.

cheers petsax, unfortunatly i dont have the warranty as it was brought off ebay second hand and i only got the cd player. when i click the eject button, it makes a noise and the cd moves up as it should do to eject, only it ejects too high so just misses the opening. do u no of any way i can adjust the mechanism so as that it ejects in the correct place?

mmmmm now i understood what happened.
iam afraid of that you can not do something becouse this problem that you mention to me seems to be a not synhronised move from the eject system.
i believe that if you have a friend technitian or someone who knows about mechanical movements you will solve your problem

cheers petsax, i decided to do me own little DIY job and place a cable tidy just inside the player and it seems to all be working fine now. once it took the tidy in but easily fixed again

have you put in a cd that has a sticky lable on it as a head unit get quite hot and that maks the lable peel of and jam up the cd. smileys/smiley5.gif
