Well my mate dropped me off earlier, 10 min later get a txt saying that he was a junction, lights went to green then all of a sudden someone just goes into the side of him! Some young girl thinking she was above the law decided to go though them! Well luckily there was a copper on the other side of the junction facing my mate who saw everything,so no need to try and get witnesses. Wierd thing is the copper hasn't even taken any details off the girl, just my mate,so obviously he isn't gonna do her for going through the light! Whats all that about?!
Neway, should my mate ring his insurance, because we aint too sure if he has to or not?
Also should we take her to the cleaners for being an idiot,or get it all repaired without the insurers? She doesn't want to go through the insurance for obvious reasons, but apparently it's looking at quite a bit of damage,so she might not be able to foot the bill?
Advice welcome :y:

Im pretty sure you should notify the insurance company mate, explain the full story and see what the police say, as they should be able to proove what happened!

get insurance involved call them get details and all so its all legit, you CAN tell them you want them for advice only... this is what i did asked for advice only and at the end you cancel or if she cant foot the bill her company will pay as the insurance is involved! its good way to be mate and really does help they take you step by step

kk. Well he'l have to ring his insurance then in the morning and ask for advice on what to do.
I said to him that he should have got her insurance details, but for some reason he thought that it was on the police report sheet thing that he got, checked it and obviously it wasn't on there.
You lot reckon he should claim for whiplash as well? Apparently he says he's got a sore neck after it but i dunno if he's blagging or not just to f**k her over. He's a bit tempermental atm because he's only had the car like 3 weeks because he put his other into a wall. (Aquaplaned into it)

whiplash.... you need to get a doctors 'note' for that I believe. My mu was recently involved in a crash and the doctor 'prooved' she wasnt being a stiff ol fanny and shes had abit of time off work.

Not worth claiming for whiplash really.
Unless he has it bad of course.
It takes AGES to claim for personal injury. As you have to go to the doctors and all that shizzle. You also have to have time off work, and cant be seen out partying (if your faking it).
I wouldnt recommend claiming whiplash unless he has it bad and needs time off work.

It does not take ages to claim, when i was 16 my grandads car was hit from behind at around 5mph, if that, basically i thought he had slipt off the clutch it was that minor, 1 assesment and 5 months later i was £4300 richer, claim for everything you can mate :y:

You only need her registsration number. Your insurers will do the rest.

Definately go to A&E and get yourself checked out - that's what my sister did when my Corsa got written off after being shunted by a Range Rover - I got £850 for my poor car and she got £2000 and free physio for her neck and back! There's no way the girl should get away with jumping the lights.

Well we went to a bodyshop today and its looking at about £600's worth of damage. So we're gonna do a personal claim through a company near us. So he's gonna get a curtosey car,all the work on his car fixed, and a claim for his whiplash all done through them. He's gonna go to the doctors tomorrow to get a sick note or whatever for his neck, thern we can get the ball rolling on that.
We still can't believe that the copper didn't do her for going through the light! Surely he had a responsibility to do something about it?!
