when replacing brake shoes, do they need adjusting? or do you just take old ones out and new ones in?
if need adjusting,how?

i once replaced some on a corsa diesel and me and my mate just put them in and put everything bakc together and they worked fine....
not sure if this is how they SHOULD be done but it worked fine for us :y:

There is a little spring between the top of the new shoes, iirc you twist it and it will adjust them, you have to get it so the rear drum fits over shoes and can spin freely, with handbrake down obviously.

do the the shoes self adjust?
hanbrake is fine but the pedal feels spongy as i did also changed a rear wheel cylinder too for him
i didnt bleed it though

whilst we're on the topic of shoes and pads, on the front pads, there is a clip that I have noted on the piston (inner) side pads. Does this need to be changed onto the new pads when I get them?

you must have ATE calipers
the metal clip that goes into the piston cylinder will be part of the new pad

aaah cheers. i didnt see the clip on a set of pads that i looked at, thats why i asked - box seemed a bit small for it to be in there as well

just make sure they supply the correct pads as aftermarket ones come up a few different choices
