Okay, when I bought the Car the bloke gave me a Head Unit to put in it, one he was going to put in, but never did.. Its a Sony CDX-L420V (As seen HERE (http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=CDX-L420V&site=odw_en_GB&imageType=Main&category=ICA+CD+Tuners)), it's a piece of sh*t. The CD's are perfectly fine in and CD Player or anyone else's car, however this one refuses to play them, just makes a "Skipping" noise and then an Error comes up on the screen. When it does occasionally decide it will let me listen to music when I turn the key 99% of the time when I turn the engine on it goes back to its normal self. I just want a head unit that.. works. Also, this one doesn't have an Aux In function, enough is enough, I need a new Head Unit, got about £50 - £70 to put towards what would you recommend?

Sorry the the rant, it just pisses me off.

yeah mate i dont blame you, i have had few sonys and they both went wrong, same thing with what happened to yours

ill have a look later but in the meantime just tell me what you want exactly from the headunit, obviously and aux in but do you want any other features????

the best to look at are alpine, pioneer, clarion and kenwood, for 70 quid your not going to get a really awesome headunit but it will be better than a sony

Yep, see what ya saying.. Limited budget at the mo =P

All I'd like it to have Aux In, Detachable Facia and for it to be reliable..

Thanks Pred :y: I remember the first post I ever made and you helped me out straight away =)

I've gotta Ipod Video.. I've never heard of Head Units having those kinda connectors though..?

Predator_R32

which connectors, phono to jack???

if you want a cable that charges the ipod whilst its playing you can get the adaptors that cost about 20 - 30 pound
