DVLA taking the p*ss

Just recieved a letter off the dvla saying that i have not paid for my provi which i recieverd back in aug 07, i have taken my theory test passed, got my actually driving test on 17th march.

They are sayin i have to pay £45 or if i pass my yest my license will be invalid.
As you can imagin i am really f***ed off with this, is there anything i can do as i dont have proof of payment.

Postal cheques which was like 7 month ago, i cant remember being giving the doc things off the post office.

surely they have to have taken payment in order for you to have it?

Thats exactly what i am thinking mate, i cant believe they have waited till now to try and say i have not paid for my license, when i have taken my theory test etc.

Surely if i have an invalid license i should not have been able to take the theory test and book my practical which is in just over 1 week :(

Cheers Predator i already checked statements, iirc i payed with cash im pretty much screwed.

I'm gonna pay the £45 take my test then looking into getting my money back after :A:
