On Monday 3rd March 2008 i went to my mate Karls a.k.a Soulless to have a word with him about his beauty of a VTS and ended up going home in it, making me £2450 lighter :y:

The VTS is a minter,

62k on the clock,
Full Citroen Service Histroy,
Lowered 40mm,
OZ white multispokes (same as on my VTR),
306 GTI-6 brakes.

Engine is standard apart from a BMC oil breather filter lol. Body work is in good condition apart from a tiny little chip on the rear bumper! But being a great bloke Karl (Soulless) chucked in a spare rear bumper, spare front lights, and the rear window wiper lol! He also brought me a new front headlight bulb because the old one had blown on full beam!

Here some picture for ya all!!

UPDATE - Found a few problems

Since buying the car i have noticed that when breaking the steering shakes which i have been told is due to warped disk! So today i decided to take off the wheels and have alook at the sliders on the callipers which i found to be seized, so i guessing thats why my disks have warped! Got a pic of the beautifull GTI-6 brakes

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g49/Pug_performance/My%20Saxo%20VTS/DSCF1181.jpg

When i got round to checking the passanger side one i notcied that the joint on the steering (were it connects to the suspension strut) has snapped :fcuk:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g49/Pug_performance/My%20Saxo%20VTS/DSCF1180.jpg

Anyone know how much this will be to cost and is it quite a big job??

On the good news front i decided to fit my new rocker cover badge :y: which i think looks a treat thanks to willsy for that :y:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g49/Pug_performance/My%20Saxo%20VTS/DSCF1182.jpg

Almost forgot to mention that there is a funny scrapping/knocking noise coming for the cambelt area which i am quite worried about :n: i Tried taking the cambelt cover off to have alook at the condition of the belt but could'nt reali see tbh.

What ya guys think?

Just need a new trackrod end, will take bout half hour and will prob cost about £15, DONT buy one from wanker carparts (euro).

Also if your sliders are definatley seized will prob need a new slider kit for each side and new disks. Wud have told you exactly what you needed the otherday if you had left the wheels off :P

snapped !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you make everything sound worse than it is! lol, i think you got a thing about new cars, your like it with every car you have had but the noise from the cam belt i would worry about, that snaps it will be expensive

Fixed Annoying Rattle :p

Just to let u guys know that i have found the rattle knocking noise that i had coming from the front suspension area!!

One day with the car on the ground i kicked the wheel at the side quite hard and i herd the same noise as i get when driving so i took the wheels off and had alook after a while of playing about i noticed that my brake pads were moving around because the pin that holds them in and stops them from rattling had popped out!!

So took the pads out cleaned the disks put it all back togeather and weehey its sorted :p

so all fixed :y:

also my window wipers and started to flake all the paint off so have just this second (3pm) took them off and am giving them a lack of paint will more than likly post pics later

Holy S**T What A Night

On our way to Southend/Basildon last nite was quite happy cruising down the motorway when this lexus over took me as he got past the rear tire blew out and sent him into the barrier as he was in the 3rd lane! the car came off the barrier spinning across all lanes basicly on my front bumper had to slam on the GTI-6 Brakes (cheers karl for them :y:) and the try n miss the car which was about a inch away from the front of mine then miss all the debrie that was flying everywere!

I didnt quite get away with it though :n: even though its alot better than maybe being in hospital and not have a car left at all tbh!

A little bit of debrie must have flung up as i was going past and hit my car and this is what i was left with!!

Anyone think it is easily/cheap to fix?????

Going to go to the bodyshop tomorrow and have a chat with the bloke there see what we can sort out :D

DomVTR
27th May 2008, 09:10
went to the bodyshop today to find out how much it will cost to get that dent out of my bonnet!! The bloke qouted me £180 + VAT will have to pop the dent out then respray that area then re-laqour the whole bonnet!! :wall:

think it could be cheaper to get a new bonnet??

Day Of Tidying Up

Right after work i decided to do some tidying up of the car the rear bumper was in need of re-spray but when i brought the car Karl kindly threw in a new bumper so decided to fit that first!

New Bumper
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g49/Pug_performance/My%20Saxo%20VTS/DSC00019.jpg

The old bumper had loads of paint flaking off it, this one has got one patch but not as bad as the old one! the only thing this bumper needs is to be cut back so that it removes the few lil scratch's!

When i got the car Karl he had fitted some GTI-6 front brake which were painted red but due to him not being bothered the back one wernt painted to match so while i was there decided to paint the rear brakes and re-paint the front ones!

New Exhaust

Just a little update my mate (Darkslag72) has this exhaust system on a car which is now dead :( so i decided to buy it off him £40 ;) its a Ashely Comp 2.5" (mayb 3") backbox which a Supersprint Centre!!

The Supersprint centre had the lamda bung welded up (and i need it) so i ask my other mate (Motobruce) if i could swap centre's with him as he has one with the bolt in it and of course he said yes lol

So yesterday i picked the system up and gave it a clean and a polish

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g49/Pug_performance/My%20Saxo%20VTS/DSC00115.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g49/Pug_performance/My%20Saxo%20VTS/DSC00116.jpg

And today after alot of work of going to Motobruce's to take his centre off (while he is on holiday lol) then had to go to mine to fit it all

got it sitting pretty well i do belive its quite easy as the backbox has adjustable hangers FTW!! only probem is i do have cable ties around the hangers also to stiffen it up abit untill i get me some stiffer rubbers (its onli a temp thing)

Big Update - Prep Work For Trax!

Were to start, well went to see my cousion to get some bit and
ended up spending like £450 on part for the car bascily
just to give it a service and so other stuff!

List of parts:

2x ABS sensors,
Engine Oil,
Gearbox Oil,
Front Disks,
Front Pads,
Rear Disks,
Rear Pads,
Spark Plugs,
Oil Filter,
Fuel Filter,
All headlight/fog light bulbs,
Alternator Belt,
2x Cam Seals,
Primer Paint,
Laqour Paint,
Rover Charcoal Grey Paint,
New Standard Headlights (still waiting to turn up),
2x Track rod ends.

Started off by fitting the Rear disk and pads and the ABS sensors for the Passanger front and rear!
Got all that sorted getting the old ABS sensors out was a bitch of a job to do but finally got there and got the new ones in,
once that was done fitted the new rear pads/disks!

Went to do the front one and found out that the bolts that hold the disk on are all fucked so need to get a extractor tool to remove those so that front disks/pads are still waiting to be done!

Once all that was done it was now time to start stripping down the engine to stop a few leaks that i had coming from the Rockers and the cams!
So over that weekend i took my car to a mate (Motobruce) to work on it in his trusty lil garage (as i dont have my own garage :( )
You can see the leak in the pick but it dont look that bad as i cleaned most of it up lol!

Stripping down took a few hours then tooks a few more hours to clean up all the left over silcone shit!
This was my first time doing a big job like this on my own even though i did have a little help from motobruce!
Once it was all stripped i retired for the nite to start paint my rocker covers for a nice new look!

Then went back in the morning to start rebuild again!
After another good few hours (mainly dossing about) we got it all put back togeather but still not in a running state as i was still in the process of paint my Rockers but we had re-sealed everything,
put new cam seals in and re-timed the cambelt, along with fitting the new Alternator belt, spark plugs and air filter!

Then the completed result was this with the new painted rocker covers on!
While i was there with a bit more time to wasted i changed the engine oil and oil filter!

Update - Prep for Trax continued..

Right decided to get the tools out again today and have a crack
at these front brakes! As i may have explained already the bolts that were
in the disk were f**k*d so had to go citroen and get some new ones!

After alot of struggling managed to get the old bolts out and started work on fitted the disks and pad got the passanger side done fine!
Went to the drivers side and noticed that both calliper sliders were sized so had to get to work at them also (must be the reason why the old disks were wraped!!)

also got some new bolts for the callipers! and also managed to get a pic
of the new front ABS sensor!

Then thought i would crack on clean up the engine bay abit, so took the manifold off and cleaned up the block as good as i could be bothered to :p

While the manifold was off and looking abit rusty i decided to whip out some Hammerite and give it a lack of black paint (idea from Motobruce)

The paint will prob burn off but looks good atm for standard lol :p

Slowly getting through my list of things that need doing will keep u updated as they happen!

Comments please ladys and Gents :y:

Coilpack FAIL + WIN

After Trax got back and my car decided to start miss firing like a bitch, i mean pretty bad the speed was amazing never been in a car so fast ;)

anyway took it to my local garage for a check (were they plug it up to a computer) came up with a faulty Coilpack!

So on pay day (get payed every friday) i went to euro car part and £120 later walked out with a new coilpack and no wages left lol!!
