its a socket you need but if you don`t have that just use a set off molegrips/big plyers. or a spanner. but i can`t remember the size

tried that. the plug is proper caked on. i have used wd40, and a wire brush to clean it. but the grips just slip and round the edges off. out of curiosity i have been proper clamping down with the grips.... should i use em more lightly?

finding the right size spanner should make it a lot easier.

you8need to use a special socket mate, you can get em from halfords for about a fiver

if they clamp and feel solid they should be fine. this might sound like a daft question but are you turning it the right way? cause when i was doing mines the other week. the way i thought it was supposed to turn was wrong lol . it confused me as i was under the car

it either a 24mm socket/spaaner or a 8mm square socket which you can get from halfords

if its extremely tight use an 8mm square, that will be ur best best as it wnt round it off.

hope this helps.

not being a cheapo, but iirc you can use the square metal bar inside a doorhandle :) lol
