window tinting

hi everyone am rele not sure on wot to do! av got me tints booked for next week and i no u can have limo black on the back 3 windows but i aint sure about the front!! i want them as dark as possible but read some where that ur not allowed to touch them!! ne one help plz!!!

I have got all of mine tinted apart from windscreen :p
My front ones aren't as dark as my back, can't tell you how much as they were like it when i bought it mate :y:
Everyone told me mine were illegal but touch wood i haven't had any problems :)

Might sound stupid, but surely that may cause problems with insurance claims? Like if you were in a crash, they could say that because your windows are illegally tinted that it may have caused crash etc? :geek:

thats wot i thought and i read that is why they put laws on window tinting due to a crash that happened were the driver cudnt see a motor bike and hit it! and they put it down to the window tinting!!

so do i go for it and risk it for a biscuit??

i think if your guna get the windows tinted get them all done the same colour tint not limo black on one part then a differnt shade on another window also you will have to declare this on ur insurance

I don't know, all i know is that they aren't that dark on the front 2 & that the police haven't said anything to me about them :p my insurance knows i have tints :)

but if u are buying the tints get them so they are legal.....

When i first got my car i was gonna take them off, but i don't think i would of liked it as much if they were removed :p

our tints on the saxo are 20% on the back 35% on the side and 50% on the front drops looks well gud but illegal just put the windows down wen you see the pigs thats wat i say

i had my tints dun 2wks ago - got 75% on the back ones and had 35% on the front ones!

imo you should have the same darkness all round.. if you have limo black on the back three and different on the front it looks crap. thats my opinion.....

i got told by the person who done my window tints you have to let 70% of light in your front windows otherwise it is illegal!

looks stupid just the back done all or nothing you can tint the fronts but its only a slight tint you hardly notice it your car wont fail mot and the police cant do anything unless they have a light meter with them.
