been out the past 6 weekends in a row with my mates. didnt think much about it till i started getting severe pains in my side.
went to the hospital last night as i couldnt take the pain anymore i was literally crying because of it. been diagnosed with either inflamed gall bladder or something called alcohol hepatitis (sp)
makes me think about it all. anyone else experienced anything like this at all.
deffo wont be going out for a while now. just a warning to yous as i wouldnt wish this pain on anyone :n:

Current healthy limits for drinking are 21units a week for men and 14 for women... and it's advised not to have more than 2-3units per day...
Otherwise you significantly increase the chance of developing many harmful illnesses including: diabetes, cancer, hepatits, portal hypertension, liver cirrhosis and many many more... you also don't do your immune system any favours...
Hope you get better soon Kenny :y:

:)
EDIT - also... a unit is ALOT smaller than people think...

didnt think it would come to this tbh. ive got to go to doctors tommorow for a liver screening tho to make sure all is ok and its just temporary.

tbh, how many alcoholics have been drinking like a bottle of whisky a day and are only seeing the effect in their 40's? i dont drink alot but i could be classed as a binge drinker i guess. if i go out i get smashed, not to the point i cant walk or im throwing up but smashed never the less.
Get welll soon mate :y:
