you are 18 yrs old and getting a car on finance limited to £10,000 including insurance.
Which cars would you consider buying? Bare in mind you are 18 so insurance isn't guna be cheap!

wouldnt do it full stop. have you been driving long? wouldnt buy a car for anywhere near that price especially if hadnt been driving long. bound to get few scratches n scrapes or if you crash n write it off you're still payin for a car that isnt there. but that's just my opinion.......... would prob buy a type r if had to do it

For an 18 year old slashing 10k on a car is extreme, and very risky. Remember, these are the years you're most likely to have an accident (hopefully you don't but it happens, right?) Better of getting a smaller loan and paying for car and insurance if you can, as Luke said above. :)

I wouldn't bother getting a car on finance if i was you, you will be paying it off for ages :n:
Why don't you just buy a cheaper car, if you haven't got the money to buy one at the minute save for one :y:

Cheap £1000 car, pug 306 xsi etc, my fav- Reno 19 16v phase 1 and learn and have fun in it, modify it,lower it, Play with the oversteer etc, then when you spin it and scrape it, its nothing bad enough to worry about! Save the money for a few years and treat yourself when you have a few years no claims!

i'd go for the renault clio 1.2. Insurance would prob be a fair few quid but it's worth going fully comp. If anything happens to the car the insurance can pay it off.
If not then maybe a fiesta zetec or maybe a corsa. Clio for me though.

Get cheap car now, then when you 19/20 get a bigger faster car. I started off on a 1.4 clio, then a 1.4 escort, then a mk 1 vts now a 1.8T S13 200SX

i wouldn't spend that sort of money on a lower powered car. i'd paid till i had 1 or 2 year no claims then get a 8 - 9K car. type r, coupra R, Astra Turbo 206GTI 180, fiesta ST or anything else that takes your fancey.
I personally would not spend 8 - 9 k on a 1.4 or similar.

You can get a nice wee modded Saxo for 2/3k. Wouldnt spend 10,000 on a car unless I had the 10,000 in cash, n don't go with any finance company the APR is astronomically high! Get to a bank for a personal loan and you can get payment protection on it as well! Talking from experience as I work with a bank lol. End of the day but ma man, its your choice.

That isn't quite true there pal. When I was looking around to get a loan for my new car, all the banks had really high interest rates. In the end Citroen own finance rate was much lower than any bank would offer me. Also every month the same amount will come out of my account for my car, instead of my mates who have bank loans and their outgoings for their loans changes every other month.
I wouldn't ever get a loan from a bank, well apart from the conventinal morgage

Not bein funny, but a personal loan is a fixed rate, so its the same amount each month apart from the 1st month which makes up the odds. So by the sounds of things ur pals are gettin bumped mate.

Yea to be honest, I think they just got over excited when the bank manager offered them their money and said yes to anything afterwards. Bunch of weeners lol.

i paid £1200 for my saxo, 1.1 r reg with 55,000 on clock, already had a few knocks in it, one of my mates got an 04 clio, paid 4,000 for it, luckily not hit anything yet, wouldn't want to with a car that sort of money.
