Hi,

I currently have a photobucket account but its starting to annoy me. Sadly i have over 3000 images hosted so i am looking for a some sort of premium account to save all my pictures.

I know they is Flickr, Fotki etc etc but does anyone know of any more?

I wouldnt mind hosting the images on my own server, Space isnt an issue nor is the amount of traffic they bring in.

Does anyone know of a good tool to use to host them myself and show them in albums etc? I also like to organise them into groups too so that would kinda help.

Ta.

You could always build your own mate,

http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/

A coder I know used that for me a while back, was pretty impressed. Ain't really into the whole photo thing so I don't know how good it is, but once it was done it was a simple case of uploading images into the folders and they would be added to the site automaticlly. Saved me some time :)

Ye used that before. But i kinda upload photos in big bulks. Example i uploaded 280 holiday pictures from a few weeks ago. To just upload them 5 a time through a web based applciation would take ages.

Just wana be able to dump them in a folder and they appear like photobucket

Why don't you just use an FTP client instead then lol..., simple case of selecting them all and dropping them in.

Holidays ( i go on about 3 a year)

Got photos from all Saxp Yorkshire meets when i used to take pictures etc.

Loads of stuff from the last few years..

This is my account Click here (http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/DannyBoyLeckie/)

Holiday photos are hidden and require a password tho

No you need the premium account. Its only like £5 for 3 months tho.

So much easier to open the FTP cilent and drop a photo in, instead of opening the internet, loading site, logging in, using the shite slow webbased uploader.

Yeh through the website. Its shite compaired to FTP.

Also the fact you have no adverts and loads of extra space and stuff. Well worth the pence it costs

cpanel has a couple of scripts in the "fantastico" section that will act as image galeries and allow ftp upload etc etc

check your hosting cpanel out, if your using cpanel!
