ok posting on behalf of my mechanic mate, he is soring a lads saxo vts out, low mileage std car...

the car will turn over, fire rev up to 1k as normal then instantly die.... so basically it fires then dies straight away....

now they have changed the crank sensor, coilpack, plugs, full service, new cambelt timed in properly....

Hence why he asked me for ideas and to ask on here.....

the next phase they are thinking is the ECU???

SO my question is does anyone have any ideas or whether it could be a sensor??

cheers Ad

when it starts to 1k, is your foot on the throttle??

could be an ECU fault, could be IAC (although it sounds unlikely)

Strange one that mate
