Looks clean, all with CSS positioning and fluid layout?
Don't forget to <alt> tag all your images so that screen readers can use the site as well.

still quite new at this mate. Made a table, merged and split cells to how i needed it, then went to layout view and deleted the cells but had the outline and then put layout cells there and set their individual propeties if you understand that and if it makes sense?
i can alt tag things, whats screen readers by the way?

people who can't see properly or have vision disablities!
TBH i know this is harsh but for a portfoli website aslong as it says it somewhere. if someone can't see your design work etc then shouldn't need to add alt tags IMO. But its helpful for them to understand what page they are actually on cos they cu dbe lookin at porn for all they know.

Using tables for design and layout is OK, but has largely been superceded by CSS based positioning. It allows you to keep the mark up and the style apart. You can easily change the fonts, colours, attributes and position of stylistic elements easily.
Why not look for CSS Zen Garden to see what can be done with style sheets.
Why not upload the page to some webspace (or pm the whole lot over to us) and we can then really rip it apart, oops, I meant give constructive criticism and feedback.

aye yeh, it was more to do with the layout and the presentation of the page, like the portfolio image is just a screen shot of vista with loads of windows open, but am gonna make that effect with the screen shots of pages ive designed.

The logo toook me like 10 mins lol. But i quite like how the page ahs turned out so might make a new logo. Was thinking a digital Globe with '@' embossed onto it and some random abstract stuff in the background.

Tables have been deprecated for layouts now because of their infelxibility & the problems they cause for screen readers/older browsers and different resolutions.
I still think they are the easiest way to design a nice clean page layout though, so if your getting into webdesign then a table based website is the best place to start imo. Setup a CSS style sheet to style all the text on the page, this way your coloursheme etc can be adapted easily. Then once your more comfortable using the stylesheet have a bash at recreating your webpage without using a table, instead use css styled <div> tags.
Looks like you have a nack for design though, which is half the battle!

Don't bother with flash. It's for gays.
The layout and colour scheme is EXCELLENT.
The logo could do with some work.
My advice would be keep practising CSS. Forget about flash. Start using Adobe illustrator for logo's (if you haven't already). Learn some BASIC javascript.
Overall a good start considering it's you first webpage.
Keep at it mate and you'll be great in no time!

I would try it with a background on a gradient and see how that turns out, but you would need a box around your text then

Whats wrong with flash?
I dont use it for the designing process. just for the layouts etc, as you can easily import photoshop/illustrator documents, whilst keeping the layers.
can do some great things with it aswell, although it can be a pain in the arse

I find that unless you are really talented with flash, or it adds something to the site that CANNOT be left out or done in vanilla HTML / CSS then it's just an unnecessary load.
We've all seen the ubiquitous 3 meg flash intro, complete with sound you have to navigate through to even reach the main site content. As a design statement all it does is add an extra hoop for site visitors to jump through. If I was looking for info on a local service, accommodation etc, I want the info there - not having to watch a designer's masterpiece. However, for some things - interactive design etc, there is nothing to beat flash.
Don't forget though, some corporate firewalls block flash, that may be your target audience who you've just locked out.
Don't forget that many little effects (such as mouse-overs, on-hovers etc) can be done with clever use of CSS.

Failing that the use of JavaScript will do you well, but that's a few stages in front of you yet.
Like the colours...

www.2advanced.com flash is good, but sometimes a bit over the top. Dont use flash much/ever.
Usually use js or ajax for fancy rollovers and stuff.
