Going to stretch tyres onto my new wheels, they are 8.5" wide and going to do 195/45's but im not sure on how im going to do this, is it better off using a cheatah to bead the tyre or is setting them alight a better way. Luckly theres vidoes on you-tube of people stretching tyres but just wanted to see if anyone else on heres stretched their tyres....

Vid 1 - the "ether" method

Vid 2 - the "Cheatah" method (Just use a cheatah to bead the tyre)

Surely you can let a garage do it on a hydraulic tyre machine?? They'll only charge you about a tennor to fit and balance four tyres.

195 is way too small for a 8.5 mate. You risk damaging the tyres, and maybe even risk them coming off the rims.

I dont think you can bead a stretched tyre with them mate, got no problems with price, as iv got access to tools to do it myself. Wheels havnt arrived yet so have not had a go yet but just wanted to see what people thought...
