In the case of every car on the road you always get people modifying them to look like the highest model version like a flat arch to look like a vtr/s, well in my case you get all the 206 owners buying all the gti gear, nimrods, bumpers, wing mirrors sp kits interior, interior parts and so on and so on.

This was not a problem with the saxos as parts are rife and at good competitive prices, but it really ticks me off with the 206 because it then makes used parts particularly hard to get hold off and to add to that you have to pay ridiculous amounts 206 gti wing mirror you would be lucky to get a pair off ebay for less than £150 notes, to get hold of set of nimrods youre going to have to lay out a price what could get you a brand new set of 17"s wheels with new tyres, and the nimrods and tyres are not even mint condition.

Well i have had my rant and beleive me its not a dig at anyone its more of self winge because it really has made owning a gti rather exspensive and hard to get standard gti parts for

Sounds a bit pap matey but it's always going to be the way if the top line model is more sporty looking.

I always think 106 parts are more expensive than saxo parts, even though the majority are the same!

I have a flat arch and im keeping it that way :y: but making the car look like a higher model is ok for those who cant afford the insurance of the higher spec car.

i dont really see the point tbh
it just makes me think your a dreamer trying to have better than youve got
plus as said it makes parts harder to find for those with the higher model

like those cappy kits you can buy to make an mr2 into a ferrari 355
