So amoungst all my suspension problems, I have decided to start replacing more things as its gonna be trial and error I think! At the moment I have 55mm Gmax springs and Shocks but am considering coilovers on the front. Any feedback/ advice? Easy to fit? Problems? Pics? any help apreciated and repped. Cheers.

Ets2k9 had a set on his but got so fed up with them he went back to spax adjustables. Problem we had was we couldn't balance the spring rate, they were either jelly or concrete, this meant either bottoming out or loosening all the bolts on the front end every 2 days! the other issue we experienced was that with decent drop on the front the shafts were catching the body due to being inclined and it was again difficult to obtain a balance. The spax kit achieved a compromise between all these.

ive just fitted my coilovers mate, so long as you kno what the car is going to be used for then you can decide on what spring/damper to choose from.
the key thing is to try and match the spring and damper so you still get a good ride. ive chose custom 225lb springs with 40lb helper springs and bilstein group n tarmac dampers, they are a little to stiff for the road but the car will be used on track so it doesnt bother me. if you wanted a road set up id suggest something like 150lb springs with helper springs and some bilstein sprintline shocks.
but best talking to kam racing or someone like that to confirm a good match.
if you register onto the Rallye Register theres a guy called paul r, he owns a company called ghost developments and will be able to help you out no end mate

Lol... we were running 350lb springs on the front a grp n's! when we first fitted em (what the previous owner was using), might as well have welded a bar instead!... we went to 120lb springs after that and the car was leaning like you wouldn't believe at speed lol! 200lb were ok but then the drop was getting on our nerves so ditched em lol

jesus!! 350lb are much too hard for group n's lol i bet it was skipping everywhere. when using the 200lbs why didnt you just get a shorter spring, i doubt it would go coilbound with group n's on.
im trying 250lb soon as ive got some in the garage so ill have to see what they are like.
on the race cars at my work we run 500lb plus on some race cars lol!!!!
