i am wantin a air filter to improve the sound nt performance as much but i dnt want it to drain the petrol any ideas, wer could i get a good 1 at a low price this is for my 1.1 forte

Keep a look out in the for sale section.

They wont drink your fuel. it depends on how you drive.

They only 'drink more fuel' because people like the sound so let it rev higher to hear it more.

whilst steady driving the car will use less fuel to maintain the same speed giving an increase in mpg

I have a raceland not sure how great it is for performance but its what gives my car all of its sound...pain in the ass to fit though

Its not going to make alot of difference on performance on a 1.1. I had a k&n on my 1.1 last year, just more noise, no more power.
TBH i think it was a bit of a waste of money.
but its up to you

pipercross open cone is loudest by far

the most recommend/popular filters are
1. pipercross for noise and price and if you want a enclosed filter the 2. bmc has got a got heat sheild and looks good under the hood.

ive got a saxo 1.1 with a pipercross air filter on it, it sounds really cool and gives it a littlr bit of extra go (i think) lol and i doesnt drint the fuel too much, im still getting returns of about 35mpg but i do drive quite aggressively.

piper cross are good for sound look ok... i guess but have no performace increase at all, i surpose the osund makes you feel like your going faster :P
