My mate has a tom tom one, he picked it up for £70 though where he worked, staff discount after christmas. I was tempted by one but tbh I listen to music far too much to concentrate on

"Take the second left whilst then merging into the left lane, carrying on until the next roundabout, where you take the third exit."

(Two roundabouts after one another!)

But it was clear, and it's the only one I'd go for, plus the battery life is good if you're charging something else from your cig lighter. :A:

yeh i constantly listnen to music but it tells you enough on screen so u know what to do.

i took a wrong turn last week when i borriwd one and it told me to do a u-turn on a due carridge way with central reservations all down it :S

i like the touch screen tom toms tbh

Tom Tom one XL is the only one I've properly used. Bit over budget but rammed with features.

I would have a look at the LG ones as well, Halfords currently have some good offers on them.

tbh i'm unfortunate enough to work at halfords and the tom toms are one of the most popular that come in to be sent off for repair. thats if the reset button doesnt do anything. Otherwise they are very clear easy to use units. I have a garmin Nuvi 250w and i think that is also really good.

P.S Please dont abuse me :(

Garmin... people at halfords just try and sell as many as them as possible because they get commission on them, thats why they ask if you want to buy a case aswell ;)
hahaha
well i know they used to!

Nah i have a TomTom 1 and its pretty good. Got European mapping aswell, was very useful when i was over in paris for the Rugby World Cup final :)
