you can try it mate, just use some nitromors to remove the paint then get sanding
its te same process as the wheel polishing, theres a guide in the stickies

i tried this and couldnt get a decent shine mate. imo you'd be better getting a proper one off ebay

b+q sell a polishing kit with three different grades of tool in for £12. Us e the course first and finish with the fine one, bit of auto solve metal polish after and it will gleam. Jus take your time mate. Dont see why it wouldnt work
