Best camcorder

Hey all was wondering if you could help please, im after a good camcorder for my road trip to france (asw) so please can i have any decent suggestions on which is the best one to go for have a budget of £550 maximum

there are loads of different types, tape, dvd, flash etc....

all are good for home movies.

well iv been told to consider the hd ready ones what do you think?

Well it is a good one lol, uses hard drive rather than tapes/dvd, it can store 40gb so pretty large n get alot of video on it. Good buy imo.
1080p is "Full" hd so the best you can get atm.
All in all preety decent.
