help i found a bolt

i got in my car the otherday and found a big black bolt with a washer on sitting in my footwell.

cant seem to find where its come from.

anyone have any ideas?

when you say bolt is it a metal bolt or is it a plastic thing as could be what they use to hold mats in place if plastic.

can only think its come from behind the dash then as cant think of anywhere else inside the car that has big bolts except the seat:panic:

Check under the seat and see if its one of the bolts from that.

I would check the seatbelt mounting bracket.

The bolt that held my carpet in (top corner, under the dash) was metal and quite long, it may be that?
