basically, want to be an ROV pilot working in the north sea, if i were to get my training done and qualifications, i have a job i can go straight onto, starting at £150 a man working day, i finish college in june (after 3 years being there studying computing, economics and ict), so, do i ride it out for the next few months, get my a levels and go to uni (always thought i'd like to have/wanted a degree) or do i sack it off, get on a training scheme in the start of the new year and start my career 3 years earlier than first planned?

i'd be out of the country (well off shore counts haha) for more than 6 months of the year, i wouldn't pay any taxes :) winner!

neither, stay at college till the end of the corse which as you say is only a few months then get training if thats what you want to do but don't wast ulmost 3 years of college

You can always go to Uni if you dont enjoy the job.

You dont have to go to uni straight after college/sixth form

Theres lots of people on my course that are older.

They went into work for a few years and decided they wanted to go in a different direction so went back to uni
