MaRiO's Car Now SORN..

Hey all, some of you may know that for the last week i have been toying with the idea of getting a Clio William's..

After long debate with parents and doing some research have decided against this as they are c***s to work on and very expensive to have fixed when something goes wrong so the Saxo is staying for a little longer..

Another factor in my decision is that my car deep down when cleaned is a minter, no rust or anything and its worth alot more to me than what i will ever get for it when i sell it..Another thing is that i know my car really well, know all the bits on it and know that everything apart from the engine and shell have been replaced for new or nearly new parts..:)

I also still haven't had as much fun in it as i would like aswell..;)

I have decided to make yet another progress thread and i promise this one will be kept up to date..:P

I have a few new plans so i will unleash them onto you all and see what you think, they are as follows:

Std mirrors
Group N Exhaust Mounts
Black Phase 1 VT* Spoiler
Oil Catch Tank
Maybe lower the front more

Those are my plans at the moment, the top 4 will be done within 2-3 weeks hopefully so expect plenty of photo's etc..;)

Another thing before i love you and leave you is that the car is now on 126k and going strong, no probs with starting it or anything, still on original gaskets throughout the engine etc..:):fcuk:

Kinda, also was talking to people on the Clio Williams forum and they were like its £500 for a clutch for example as they are hard to work on..:P

ive a friend selling a 1360 race engine on ITB's, weber management, lairy cam etc etc... very very revvy & light engine. good for over 9krpm + i believe it produces about 137bhp @ wheels so not exactly shy either.

Was talking to Ryan last night and i'm probs gona have a silly spec 16v engine built running with a really nice box, but before i do that i wana get the shell sorted..

Going to have a full respray (still deciding colour) but inside, underneath, engine bay and inner arches will be white..Or do i just leave the outside of the car as it is and just have the rest sprayed white? Dont know yet..

Anyways first things first i need a new roof skin..Where can these be bought from? Anyone know?

Second phase is a cage, all spraying will be done when thats fitted too..

Also my current buckets and subframes along with the harnesses will be up for sale soon so if anyone is interested let me know..:)

Hope your all ready for one hell of a project, but you only live once i spose, get ready for proper updates in about a month or so once i've settled in with my new job..;)

Hey all, i haven't been on here for awhile but i have been doing some bits to the Sax..

As its now SORN etc it means i can do a few extra bits and bobs..

Things i have done recently:

Removed Doorcards (at last!!)
Removed Plates
Attached front towing eye
Cleaned under the arches
Cleaned the engine bay
Cleaned the inside

Not much but there are a few other little bits i need to do before its cage time..

Toying with the idea of it being a single seater..Still undecided..

I also need to clean the outside of it..Its terrible..lol
