Virgin media broadband....

Iv been with virgin for my broadband and phone for a few months and last night and today its been acting up.

When i load sax-p its slow and facebook and bebo just do not load at all.
The virgin website loads 100% normal.
Iv used different DNS's and completely reset my router.
Computer is spyware/adware/virus ect free

Im really baffled to what it can be, im not being throttled as my downloads are normal, firefox(main browser) and IE are acting the same on the same pages.

Is this how virgin media operate? anyone else got/had these problems?

mate i have virgin internet and its the worst ever. it was well good as blueyonder but i doubt you had that if you have only been with them for not long. i have problems with them very low ping and download's but it will be okay the next day. its just rubbish change your ISP mate.lol. sorry i wasnt much help

The VM site will work fine because its hosted on there own network. Sounds like they are having problems if other sites ain't working..

There are intermittent issues with virgin media and the routing to the server cluster, which saxperience resides upon... been trying to get virginmedia/ntl to address this for some time. So have hundreds/thousands of companies.

No changes yet mind...

If youre seeing more issues than the occasional page hang each day, then its probably a different NT-Hell issue altogether :P

iv found VM to grate i have very little down time. i started with them when they were telewest back in 1997. so in a 11 years iv only had 3-4 down times.

I've found Virgins DNS servers to be pretty shite so i use these now, maybe you should give it a go? Pages open much quicker.
