The one that i have to get is LASIK which is the one where they create a flap and then laser the eye, anyone had this done? any problems? someone told me the flap can cause problems? and that night vision can be deterioated after laster treatment? results any good?

I am considering getting this done. I like my glasses but never want to wear them out clubbing. This means i can't see shit though.

I have considered this and Its going to be a yes for me.. few of my mates have had it done as well as a few family members and its deffinatly something I want to get done in the next year or so!
Contacts dont bother me.. Im not supposed to wear them all the time but have made it my daily routine..Even though my eyesight isnt that bad just a bit short sighted.. I want my eyes corrected so I dont have to worry about things like losing a contact... having to remember to take them out ect ect

it defo seems like a good procedure i jsut want to know everyones personal results that they got from it, i read it can sometimes cause distorted night vision and as i work nights in dark night clubs want to know if anyone experienced bad night vision after surgery

Like most nights then going by the state of lass you wake up with ;)
I luckily (for now) don't need glasses. But isn't laser treatment where they like cut open your eye? And you have to be awake? :err: bloody expensive too! But if you have to wear glasses permanently I can see it being a good idea in the long run. Ok now I'm waffling.

its not suitable for everyones eyes, it can be bad for your sight in some cases. Mostly night vision with people who have large pupils.

Doesn't work out a crazy price if you consider how much glasses and contacts cost a year.
Say the average contact costs a pound a day. Thats £365 a day. Then... in 10 years thats £3650 pound. Which is the cost of the treatment!

i dont wear glasses or contacts, but my vision is perfect.. anyway
if i DID wear them, i would stick with glasses, you only get one set of eyes.. wouldent want to fook with them
just incase...
thats just me though

I've had it done, best thing I've ever done! Worth the money. I had trouble with glare at night, i.e. lights were starbursts etc but this has now gone back to how it was before I had the surgery, took 3 or 4 months. I would definately recommend it.
