If you have fitted new pads and discs you will normally get a spongy feeling pedal until the new brakes 'bed' in. Drive it moderately for the first 50 miles or so and - all things being equal - the feek of the brake pedal should improve.

Also are you absolutely sure you've got all the air out of the system?

Try 150 miles of moderate breaking thats what most manufactures recomend for new disks and pads !!

as for the rear not sure if phase 1 is the same as the 2, had a similar prob but not locking up -jack up the car (chaulk the wheels axle stands and in gear leave the h'break off ) and where the hanbreak cable ends theres a rubber cover, took that off a bit of WD40 a small screw driver some copper grease give it a waggle back and forward a few times and ive had no probs since good luck with it !

did you wind the rear caliper pistons back in or just push back.?
did you pump pistons back out before you applied the
handbrake?

HELP!!!!

Can anyone provide a diagram or picture of how the rear brake pads and anti rattle springs are fitted. I've lost the whole lot (garage didn't balance my rear wheels, shake and baked everything) and need to fit quickly.
