n95 problem

Hi Guys

i got a Nokia N95 8gb and since yesterday evening i have not been able to send any messages. When you look in the sent section it says re-send in about 2 mins, then will come up saying failed - clicked on more details and it says " general memory full, please close some applications and try again! But there are no applications open and i checked the memory and it says theres loads!

Who do i contact is it 02 who with or is it Nokia, has anyone else had anything similar to this?

i cant exactly help u but if u go to www.zedge.net and post a thread or search their forums u may get ya ansa hun - its brilliant web site and they always help me with my fone problems. check it out - u wont be disappointed - all the place to get free tones - pics - vids - themes etc

Have you closed things by just clicking on the cancel button ( C ) if so they will still be running in the back ground which will be slowing down the phone and not letting you do some things on the phone, so you need to go back in to them and click options then exit .

should be sorted , if not i don't know whats wrong .

if you go in to the menu and see a little symbol next to the icon then it's still running in the back ground .

nah its not that as ive closed all the programmes down ( i use to make that mistake with the interent on my phone ) looks like a problem for nokia tbh

Ive heard about this being a problem, hold down your menu key for 2 seconds and see if there is any hidden apps running in the background, if so, close them down.

Failing that, ive heard updating your phones firmware, cures this problem, as this was a problem on the earlier/first firmware.

Yes but you were telling him to go back into the menu and look for apps that have a little symbol in the corner, whilest i was only suggesting the very same thing but an easier and quicker option and you dont have the risk of missing any.

MY n95 is shagged , internet dont work on it at all and no idea were to get updates from :(

You need to connect your phone to your pc and use Nokia pc suite in order to upgrade your firmware, and make a back up of everything aswell as you'll loose everything, but if i was, id wait an extra week or so as version 21 is out any day now and its supposed to be a good one.

No you don't just download them off 'net from the internet using your phones 'net . Thats what i did .

I have all the latest firmware and anti viris for the phone and other crazy little things you can get for it .

But as he says his internet if shagged then he probily will have to connect it to his pc .

here you go :) this is how i fixed my nokia n73 with same problem

find your phone, download it, install

then basically you run the program, it will tell you to put your phone in, then it updates the software :) it has all the instructions anyways mate
