Motherfuckers! Just had to get that off my chest.
Went out for an hour this morning, me, missus and kids, to get some bits to decorate one of the bedrooms. When we got back we noticed the inside of 2 front doors was open.
Me being a bell end thought I'd just forgot to shut it on the way out.
Turns out someone's thrown a brick through the rear window, climbed in through there, scuffled around the house and used our spare set of keys to let themselves out the front doors!
On the way they helped themselves to my BRAND NEW PS3 (luckily I still have the box), a CD recorder, mobile, laptop, portable MD recorder and a load of jewelery. But left £xxxx worth of hifi and AV kit!
Motherfuckers!
CSI have been round and I'm just waiting for the fingerprinters to come before I can arrange for the insurance to come and sort me window out.
What a great start to the holiday weekend!

Biggest shame is the jewlrey thats more sentimental than financial i guess.
Its bank holiday so a big target day for them as people are off work/out for the day.

Second time in a month/two months(?) the police have been inside your house rummaging through your stuff (the shannon mathews kidnapping).
Some good will come of this don't worry :y: as you have the PS3 box do you get to claim it back? :err:

Not bothered about the material things that have been taken, they will be sorted by the insurance.
It's the fact that some pikey scum has been rifling through our rooms which has upset us most

Yep a mans house is his castle.
Espec with your young family, you loose the security/comfort that you have with your home.
Hope you guys get it sorted soon and settle back in there again and it soon feels like home again.

Sorry to hear this mate, really is something everyone wishes that it wouldn't happen to them.
As most people have said luckily you were all out as it could have been alot more frightening if someone was present in your house going about their daily routine. My mum experienced that and we still see they guy walking around our area occasionally.
I really hope that you get all your belongings back in one peice soon and that the police string him up by his balls and leave him to rott to death!

It's a real shame mate, I hope you get it sorted.
There wouldn't be so much burglary and theft about though if people didn't think they were getting a bargain by buying the gear down the pub tonight.
How many have you seen someone selling an obviously stolen stereo for many times less than it's worth - has anyone ever done anything about it?

Yup, locks on all doors and windows. Nothing a brick can't sort out though, eh?
Had fingerprints round and they found knackers all, but at least the clean up operation can now start.
Kits are out for the night and we'll hopefully have the house back to normal (minus a few essentials) by end of play tomorrow.

All going through the insurance. Have to claim for part of a new kitchen where the brick bounced off a worktop and door and a new living room carpet as there is splintered glass in it where it's been walked through.
As for the car, the only one outside at the time was the courtesy car Kia Picanto. Keys were left with the other keys but the thief probably saw that and decided he'd just be too embarrassed driving it, so left it
