I have a puddle in my car :'(

Was on my way to lakeside today, but had to go pick a friend up in mersea, which is this island near where i live. The only road into it is surrounded by the sea, and at high tides the road gets completely coved by it.

Anyway, was coming out of Mersea and the tide had risen an hour early. But there was quite a few cars going across it, and as it didnt look that deep, i thought i would try drive through it (stupid i know :p ) as i didnt wana be stuck there all day. Got about half way through and it suddenly got rather deep and water started to come through down the footwells :panic:

My car is now soaked inside.

Luckily the other week i sprayed the whole underneath of my car with this waxoil non rust stuff, so im hoping that will help prevent any rust. Gona get it on a ramp tomorrow though, give it a good clean and spray some more waxoil on it. Still takes the piss though! lol

I just totally stripped the inside of my car, so i could clean out all the salt water, and its chucking down with rain... and to make things better i think im getting a cold! :n: Not a good day so far lol

Pics aren't that good, it does actualy get a lot deeper than that, even covers the barriers along the road.
