I think theres already a thread on here bout this. They seem to have a project with Saxos and always either following them and checking them or even pulling you over. Its embarrasing mostly, but probably funny to ya mates who are in ya car wit ya

I find the police who dirve the focus's, fiesta's and all other panda cars are usally tits but the actual traffic cops in the T5's or BMW's are really nice and understanding etc etc like when i got a warning for doing 90mph in a 40mph zone, just told me not to do ti again and stop showing off the my passenger lol
He also said and i quote "i had to really put my toe down to catch/keep up with you" !!!
Saxo - 1
T5 - 0

I would agree with you lol. The pandas are tossers but the traffs are nice guys normally.
:n: I got caught racing on a public highway doing 64 round a roundabout which was a 30 zone and they had a chat with me, looked at my car then just told me to take it as a warning!! ;)
The traffs also pulled me for not having my seatbelt on one night in town, later that night i passed him again, still without a seatbelt, he just flashed and signaled to me to put it on! lol Point was taken (oops):P
The car we got pulled the most in was Scott's XR3, they used to say "theres been reports of a stolen vehicle that matches this one", yeh right lol, it was the only one in our area being a 1989 pre injection model!
They just wanted a look most of the time!!! We always had all our docs in the glovebox!

I think the police picking on saxo's is BS!! I've had couple of Saxo's and NEVER been pulled over in them...not once and both have been modified and I'm only 21 now...so really the exact kind of car and driver combo who would be pulled over but never have been

not really is there any need to search your car and leave the sun visor down on purpose so when you get back in the car you wack your head?
i hate them.

ive had my saxo for 2 years now and have only ever been pulled for breaking the law. they cant actually stop you unless you commit a road traffic offence or are suspicious about your driving

I'veo nly ever been pulled for a reason, some valid some a bit pointless.. but yeah.
However with a friend.. who drives a dark blue megane... pulled once literally to say 'you're out a bit late aren't you..' then did a quick check of the car, and again just for the sake of it in a smaller town up the road from us.

The police do not need a reason to do a stop so best not to get arsy over something so minor an inconvenience.

random searches catch a lot of criminals. Many like to drive to and from burglaries.
Be polite and help them do their job and you will be on your way in a couple of minutes.

You speak sense!! Imagine all the arse holes that the police have to deal with...they're just normal blokes like us doing a crappy job that most of the time isn't what they expected it to be....they're in the line of fire from scrotes all day, the least we can do is be friendly and polite and give them a break....after all you might need them on your side one of these days.

I agree, but there is no need for the arrogant stance 90% of them use. 'Boy racer are you son', 'Been out street-racing tonight?', etc etc. Just aggravates people.
When I crashed, they said I had no insurance and called me a boy racer, wouldnt really listen to what I had to say, told me to corss the road and then told me to stop saying there were cars coming and they 'didnt want me to cause another accident'. And it actually wasnt my fault

i'm always nicey nicey to coppers, but one pulled me the other month for "doing 54 in a 40" gave me all the jibbarish about speeding and let me off with a warning... i thought 'what a nice guy...' realised a few hours later is a national speed limit on that road :( theres bigs signs about 50 yards in either direction from where i was stopped.... D'oh my fault for being dopey

I find if you are nice and polite to them and not like cheecky or try and be smart they are ok to you. Only ever been pulled once in the sax normal checks made, he then said "looks like a smart motor you got their lad" traffic police in a BMW really shiney :A:
