After looking at a new car yest, i was told by the owner that all MG/Rover's come with 1 owner new, the 1st being the dealership...

So if i was able to buy a brand new MG/Rover, i would be the second owner?

Something to do with the dealer's registering the cars themselves...

well my saxo on the log book says 3 owners have owned the saxo...

the bloke i brought it off said he was the 1st...but showed that there had been a previous owner...after doing a little research i found that the 1st owner was infact a bloke at the dealership...so technically...im the 2nd owner...although paperwork shows otherwise...

could be the same situation...

it means the guy at the dealership was abusing his power and took a different car home everynight and ragged the fuck out of it....

It's how dealers are able to sell "pre-registered" cars cheap.

They register them to themselves (for whatever tax exploiting reason) then sell them to you with a percentage off the retail
