anyone here take part in motor sport?

im thinking about getting in to motor sport, can anyone give me any ideas of how to, etc.

what do you mean by "Motorsport"?

track days?

If you actually want to compete in races in leagues, youll most likely need to find sponsors and theyll want proof your good, and youll need a lot of your own money as its not cheap, entry fees car issues etc etc

I do a bit of Karting - thats probably the easiest to get into. There are a few arrive and drive racing series.

and loads of cash - a mate used to do rallying and hill climbs - him and a couple of friends were always rebuilding and replacing engine parts after events and body work if they crashed !!! went with them to a couple of events as crew and is such a buzz, best of luck if you go for it mate !!!

Track days are motorsport, just not competetive. That's the best place to start.

hey i race karts my self and i am also involved with some of the british touring cars, formula renault and clios. it is very expensive like someone else said you need the money to get out there then thats where you pik up your sponsors. karting is cheaper but can still get expensive. plenty of places on the net to find out more xx
