vtr are far nicer and look deadly dropped. A gti is older and more things could go wrong with it + less parts out there now

Personally, after owning both, I would go for the 205gti my friend. Awesome little cras. And they look great as well. Plus you can get some good models about. Someone offered me a fully refurshished 205gti that had 40,000 on the clock for my not so perfect vtr. If I didnt have my VTS I would have done it.

no point buying a Pug with that amount of mileage tbh, i have a vtr and yes they are fun to drive and as above there are a lot of parts out there that are easy to get hold of if anything does ever go wrong

i spose in some ways the saxo vtr/s could be considered kinda descendants from the 205 gti........

Yeh it pretty much does, thats why you should go for a 205, its the master of all the hot hatches! :D

Went to Donny last year, and there was a few 205's, and one bloke had a 205gti with an mi16 engine, with 25,000ish on the clock, body kit, the works, and all he spent on it was just under £3000 (inc. car). Can be made perfect very cheaply. Just my opinion though.
