well as a few people know i never clean my car, but i now really enjoy doing it.
however when i do it i always seem to get water stains kinda things, where the waters stayed there and dryed.
what can i use to prevent this.
also what polish would be best to use on a blue car?
cheers frankie
sorry if the answers seem simple.

you need to give it a good polish, add some sealent and wax it shuld sthe water marks a bit more, use a waffle weave towel too

Watermarks are caused when hard water is used... you could use a water softner... or more conventionally... use a waffle weave towel to dry your car after washing...
Alternatively let your car dry naturally and run over the car with a spray of megs detailer..
As for a beginner polish.. i recommend using Auto Glym super resin polish.. it works well by hand.. it's easily broken down, and gives good results...
Hope that helps,
Alex

rain water collected from a waterbutt, i fill a watering can with it wash the car over with it after the suds, doesnt leave lime stains.
alternatively a buffing cloth or microfibre should remove it
