Help please?! Dials froze

Hey, hoping somebody could help me if poss please?

Dropped the missus off yesterday, then set off (without knocking the engine off), only to look that i was doing 1000 revs at 0mph....My dials have froze, even when its cold the clocks show that my engine and oil is up to temperature. I've had abit of mither with a faulty fuel gauge that froze a couple of months back, but that magically started to work again...

I've tried the usual battering of the dash, starting it and stopping it and it still doesnt work - nothing on the dials work apart from the time, which is a hour late cus i dont know how to change it!! FFS!

T'is a X reg phase 2 VTS.

Think its something to do with a bad earth somewhere mate, have you wired anything recently, check all your fuses again to make sure too;)

disconnect the battery for 10 minutes then reconnect it all should be put right :)

Dont always work mate, loads of people on here have tried that and never resolved the problem;)
