Right, took my dog for a walk in the park.

Theres this old football pitch. Actual length of a real pitch. I stood at one end and launched the dogs ball over to the other goal post. I timed my dog, he got from one end to the other in just under 5 seconds..

How long is a football pitch?
How fast is he going if he can do it in 5 seconds?

Im dumb

The length of a pitch must be between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m)

Speed = Distance/Time

120m / 5 secs = 24 m per second.

I think you have timed it wrong tbh, no dog can do it that fast.

Shortest length a footy pitch can be is 100 yards so the dog would do 20 yards a second.

maximum is 130 yards so dog would do 26 yards per second.

D = 90m

T = 5secs

S = D/T

S = 18m/s

m/s -> m/h
18 -> 64800

m/h -> km/h
64800 -> 64.8

km/h -> mph
64.8 -> 40.5

one fucking quick dog!

BenSilverSaxo

Cheetah—fastest of all terrestrial animals can only do 30 m/s so i dont believe the dog can do it that fast tbh.

would imagine that either the the timing is wrong or the pitch is smaller
