Why is it still going up will it just continue to go up indefinately or will there be a crash like there is ment to be in the housing market?

Went to france the other day and normal petrol was 138.9 and optimax or quivalent was 140.9 thats a difference of about 1p so why in this country is it like 10p a litre?

Just frustrates me grrrrrr

Rant over

more tax... a slight increase in fuel price means a nice chunk of Tax, VAT and duty to lob on.

140.9? euro yeah?

hell the difference is even less then... madness. you sure it was that little a difference? I go over to france fairly regularly and recall the difference being quite a bit bigger...

what would happen if everyone in the uk didnt buy fuel for a week? would the effect them? could the consumer notp go on strike for a change instead of the companies!!

it is pathetic tho! the cheapest garage round my way is £1.03.9 for petrol and the most expensive is £1.08.9

i dont understand why we put up with it so much, if this was america we'd have world war 3 on our hands people going ape at the gouverment. We just sit back and take it.

Strikes wont achieve anything really - we still need fuel. its a comoditiy

Untill they start mass producing hydrogen powered cars im affraid the only way is up for the price, especially with the summer usa driving season approaching

I personally have only filed up with petrol twice in the last 6months so its not too bad here for the saxo ;)

Diesel on other hand takes the piss, 115p roughly :|

damn miserable government... but thats about all I can say at the moment, not exactly going to change anything. Prices set to increase soon as well... not good.

I used to care, but then I worked out when prcies were 'cheap' at 89p a full tank cost me 40 quid. It now costs about 6-7 quid more for a full tank so for me thats 6-7 quid a week. For the freedom my car gives me I can handle that tbh.

What does piss me off is the stupid new road tax system and the fact a pints gonna cost around 4 quid by xmas time.
