although money is money hes a mate and hes not giving it away in my opinion, plus with this type you will get loads of heat soak i went for a bmc cda induction and put a 5 inch pipe through the front of my car its loads better.
If you can a bit more to it get one loads better if not knock him down to £20 and a pint when you next see him

what does this mean in terms of performance?!

what does this mean in terms of performance?!

your engine needs cold air the colder the better and the more air the better.
If you use this type of filter is will use the air from under you bonnet that, because of the heat of your engine is hot, hence heat soak.
If you have a direct air feed from outside its will allow your engine to draw cold air in.
I have cut away part of the bulk head, the coolling fan and i have a 5 inch straight pipe out of the front of my car directly into my carbon enclosed air filter (its carbon to stop the engine heat). in terms of bhp i dont know but it does improve my performance ;) and my fuel consumption but not in a good way :panic:

Hope this helps, Platty

Don't expect any real gains, but you'll get a nice induction snort on full throttle. For the money its good, provided its fit properly. If you can get a cold-air feed (any halfords will supply one for cheap), then it's a fair induction kit on a budget.
