Seeing as you've got a decent budget i'd be looking at the Audison SRx3 (http://www.raysmith.co.uk/Amplifiers/Multi-Channel-Amps/SRx3/) to power both the sub and the components. One amp is less hassle and it's not a bad looking amp either.
As for the drivers, the Hertz ES300 (http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/ES300D_hertz-es-300-d1---subwoofer-300mm-44-ohm.html) is a great sub and with it's high sensitivity rating it will allow for greater volume capabilities than most other subs when using little power. For the components, the Rainbow SLX230s (http://www.sextonsdirect.co.uk/SLX230D_rainbow-slx-230-deluxe-2-way-system.html) would be my choice.
