citroen saxo furio / peugeot 106 quiksilver = insurance group 5

citroen saxo vts = insurance group 14

peugeot 106 gti = insurance group 13

i always thought that the vts and gti were the same insurance groups!!!

i thought they were too, thats wiered.

my gf works for churchills and apparantly (sp) they have a segmentation table which they use previous experience of claims and accidents to determine which cars go in which category.

that may just be for churchills though as they have there own underwriting laws to allow them to do so.

i thought they were all done the same no matter what??

gti listed as slightly lower as it has lower book times, reportedly because peugeot run there tests with full tank of fuel and passenger and luggage, a cunning ploy to keep insurance groups down

ummm i think it also depends on the driver.

out of the two, i think i would go for the 106 gti.

basically no difference, except for the fact that the gti has leather interior so that wins it for me! smileys/smiley17.gif

plus u see fewer gti's then u do saxo vts' and they hold their value better.

add to that the fact that it was in need for speed as well! lol

the reason i got me sax was because of a 106 gti, i saw a lush metallic red r plater with low miles, immaculate interior and totally standard. garage who were selling it were taking the piss saying they wanted 2k deposit. didnt have the money so i looked about, couldnt find a gti or a vts around and spotted me sax vtr, wanted a car straight away so i got the sax smileys/smiley2.gif never looked back.
even tho the 106 was fantastic to drive and the interior is lush.
why didnt citroen use the same style interior smileys/smiley13.gif
